Tsukinobori Oto: Blending Dreamscapes and Cultural Narratives

Tsukinobori Oto, known as Tsuki, is an interdisciplinary artist and visionary in avant-garde electronic music. Founder of TNE and studioPARVATI, they are known for a dreamlike style that merges nature-inspired visuals with Japanese folklore, Swedish electronica, and surrealism. Based in Sweden, their avant-garde approach explores the intersection of creativity, cultural narratives, and immersive experiences.

They began creating music in 1991, gaining attention in 1995 for their innovative blend of classical and electronic elements. Transitioning fully to electronic music in 1996, Tsuki has cultivated a 30-year career of creative exploration. As the ethereal lead vocalist of the Swedish-French ensemble Amphex since 2007, they gained widespread recognition, collaborating with underground artists and pushing creative boundaries. Their work has been featured on labels such as Håkan Lidbo Industries, Otaku Magazine, Greenfetish Records, Bedouin Records, and S.L.A.M., among others.

Through a multifaceted artistic practice, they invite audiences on a sensory journey where the boundaries between the tangible and the ethereal blur. Their work seamlessly integrates visual art, music, and performance, creating a captivating synthesis that challenges conventional perceptions and encourages deeper contemplation.

With a keen eye for detail and a profound understanding of symbolism, they evoke wonder and introspection. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Japanese cultural heritage, and the experimental nature of Swedish electronica, their art transcends geographical and cultural boundaries, resonating with audiences worldwide.

With three decades of multidisciplinary artistry, Tsuki’s transformation into 月 marks a new era of introspection. Partnering with From A Silent Place (FASP), they embrace the zen-like simplicity of their essence, continuing to redefine their creative journey.

As the driving force behind TNE and studioPARVATI, they continue to push the boundaries of artistic expression, inviting collaborators and audiences alike into a collective exploration of the human experience—where the dreamlike and the tangible coexist in harmonious dance.
